The best environments we can provide for our students are the ones that lead them to take responsibility for their learning. What a difference it makes in a student’s mind knowing that they’ve discovered the answer for themselves, or been able to create it if it wasn’t there.
If there’s anyone who is in a position to bring positive change into the world every day, it’s a teacher. Don’t ever think that your efforts as a teacher are insignificant and make no difference. There is no telling what positive effect you will have on someone’s life, especially a student’s. Be brave, stay passionate about your kids and your work, and don’t give up
Teachers role
Any teacher can awaken a student’s belief in themselves. Frost encourages the idea of inspiring curiosity and sparking the desire for knowing in students. As a teacher, you are the best guide for your students in the move towards this kind of illumination. Get students curious about discovering knowledge for themselves, and focus on their interests and inherent skills and natural talents
wise man attempts to impart always sounds like foolishness to someone else … Knowledge can be communicated, but not wisdom. One can find it, live it, do wonders through it, but one cannot communicate and teach it.
Learning
Learning is the kindling if a flame, not the from filling if a vessel
Teaching and learning
Whoever teaches learns in the act of teaching, and whoever learns teaches in the act of learning
Teacher as a parent
It is hard to consider what I do as a job, because it is truly a part of who I am. People always say to me, “Those kids are lucky to have you,” but I’m the lucky one. Working with students day in and day out, year after year, I get to meet and become a large part of their lives. I get to be a part of molding into young adults and helping them prepare for the world. I care for them, challenge them, and encourage them as if they are my own

Teacher as a bridge
True teachers use themselves as bridges over which they invite their students to cross; then, having facilitated their crossing, joyfully collapse, encouraging them to create bridges of their own.
